What is PROMPT T3 Training? PROMPT (PRactical Obstetric Multi-Professional Training) PROMPT is an evidence-based multi-professional obstetric emergencies training package that has been developed for use in local maternity units. Implementation of PROMPT has been associated with improved outcomes in the UK, USA, Australia and Zimbabwe. PROMPT training is recommended in the NHS England National Maternity Review: Better Births (2016). PROMPT 3 ‘Course in a Box’ includes new modules, algorithms, implementation tools, scenarios and videos. T3 (Train-the-trainers) These 1–2 day courses train multi-professional teams of 4 from maternity units. These courses include everything needed to get PROMPT training running in their unit: A complete 'Course in a Box' including PROMPT 3 and PROMPT Critical Care (PROMPT CiPP) Downloadable tools to support the training How to run drills and practical sessions How to sustain training New modules:PROMPT CIPP Course (Care of the Critically ill pregnant patient) training package -contains training tools to facilitate a multi-professional local Maternal Critical Care training course New Chapters: Maternal Critical Care Teamworking, local context and sustaining effective local multi-professional training Monitoring safety and quality - local evaluation of training, including evidence of effect. Updated Chapters: Fetal Monitoring in labour based on FIGO & NICE, Major obstetric haemorrhage, Maternal Sepsis, Maternal anaesthetic emergencies All other chapters have been reviewed & updated in line with national recommendations including MBRRACE, RCOG Green-top Guidelines, NICE & UK Resuscitation Council. Modules include: BLS and Maternal Collapse, Eclampsia, Cord Prolapse, Shoulder Dystocia, Vaginal Breech Birth, Acute uterine inversion, Twin birth and Newborn resuscitation.
