Local PROMPT Training Day in Ipswich Hospital 14th January 2020

We are delighted to observe and support Ipswich Maternity Unit's first local PROMPT Obstetric Emergency Course as part of the PROMPT Partnership. The multi-professional faculty delivered training incorporating a Breech birth scenario and the Anaesthetic Emergency Drill.

Great to see multi professional attendance including Anaesthetists, Obstetricians, Theatre Technician and Midwives.

PROMPT's story

As a result of the positive findings of the SaFE Study and also the associated outcome improvements at Southmead Hospital, the PROMPT (PRactical Obstetric Multi-Professional Training) Train-The-Trainers package was developed by a dedicated group of health care professionals based in maternity units in the South West of England, UK. The package was designed to be used locally and to improve outcomes for mothers and their babies.
