CONGRATULATIONS to LEE

Tim and Mark completed a symbolic SW coastal walk (14 miles) to meet up with Lee in order to thank him personally for his monumental effort in completing the 630 miles of the SW Coastal path in 20 days. Lee smashed his fundraising target raising £15,114 (well over £17,000 with gift aid included) the PMF team are so grateful that his efforts will assist in the ongoing development and delivery of training. They were pleased to see that his feet were recovering and life was getting back to normal. They had a brief chat about future fundraising projects (but maybe not for a while) so watch this space.

Lee you are now officially a PMF Legend.

Lee finished his huge challenge to walk around the South West Coastal Path on Sunday 23rd May 2021, to raise money and awareness for our charity.

He had many familiar faces join and meet him along the way to help keep his spirits high, one being our CEO Mark James walked with him for 30 miles from Polzeath to Newquay on day 6 into a 45mph wind and torrential rain. Mark joined him again at the weekend doing two days covering 65 miles (from The Lizard to St Austell) and admits to being broken at the end of it. He felt some of the pain and has only complete admiration for Lee’s grit, determination and stubbornness to complete the challenge. Mark also joined Lee on his final stretch, walking through the night and with him to the finish line.

Lee continually smashed his targets set for this challenge. He has now raised over £15,000 which is such a fantastic achievement. PROMPT's story

As a result of the positive findings of the SaFE Study and also the associated outcome improvements at Southmead Hospital, the PROMPT (PRactical Obstetric Multi-Professional Training) Train-The-Trainers package was developed by a dedicated group of health care professionals based in maternity units in the South West of England, UK. The package was designed to be used locally and to improve outcomes for mothers and their babies.
