I’m a community midwife/GP, is the Pre-hospital PROMPT package applicable for me? b b b	The Pre-hospital course and related packages have been designed for paramedics and ambulance staff in line with JRCALC guidance. This obviously differs from that available for midwives and doctors. However, we do have a community module in our Annual Update 2022/23 package that is designed for emergencies within community settings, such as birth units and homebirths.

PROMPT's story

As a result of the positive findings of the SaFE Study and also the associated outcome improvements at Southmead Hospital, the PROMPT (PRactical Obstetric Multi-Professional Training) Train-The-Trainers package was developed by a dedicated group of health care professionals based in maternity units in the South West of England, UK. The package was designed to be used locally and to improve outcomes for mothers and their babies.
