Training Our model of training Multi-professional training Teams that train together, work together There is growing evidence that training together, in multi-professional teams, improves both team-working and clinical outcomes. No-one can predict which team members will be available when emergencies happen. This is why PROMPT training is based on the following principles: train 100% of the maternity team train in multi-professional teams repeat the training annually Effective team-working is central to improving clinical outcomes, through improving: communication team roles and leadership situational awareness The 2016 NHS England report ‘Better Births’ stressed that effective multi-professional teams trained together, thereby improving communication and developing a shared understanding of complex clinical problems.
