The COVID-19 pandemic continues to provides new challenges for the safety of people receiving and providing maternity care.  The Pre-Hospital PROMPT Training which is usually presented to the paramedics of South Western Ambulance Service Trust (SWAST) face to face, however in the COVID world we find ourselves in, the PROMPT Team adapted and delivered the training virtually with each delegate having the new Pre-Hospital PROMPT Clinical Algorithm Booklet to hand to refer to throughout the training day.

Feedback from delegates included:

'You can't beat a hands on practical session in order to build muscle memory, but this has to be the next best thing considering the circumstances and I am just so grateful that you found a way to deliver the content of this course'

'Very relevant with excellent insight into both JRCALC and SWAST guidance from the PROMPT staff'

'All subjects were pertinent and I learnt from each one'

'Very informative and brilliant refresher to maintain confidence'

'Highlighted lots of presentations that I hadn't even thought about in the pregnant woman - very helpful and insightful content'

'Great to see a simulation video with ambulance staff - helps to really visualise how this would work in a real setting. Especially with use of the PROMPT booklet'

'It was extremely beneficial to receive the clinical algorithm booklet prior to the course so I could have a look through it beforehand and then follow through everything during the course and write little notes in it for my own benefit. I really certainly be keeping this with my shift bag!'
