PROMPT Wales Faculty Leads Event 6th February 2020

This brilliant Welsh network event is sharing the successes of implementing PROMPT Training across all maternity units in Wales. Cardiff demonstrating an increase of number of midwives (91%) and Obstetric and Anaesthetic consultants (98%) trained in 2019 in obstetric emergency training.

This event is supported by The Welsh Risk Pool in recognition of the dedication PROMPT faculties in Wales.

PROMPT's story

As a result of the positive findings of the SaFE Study and also the associated outcome improvements at Southmead Hospital, the PROMPT (PRactical Obstetric Multi-Professional Training) Train-The-Trainers package was developed by a dedicated group of health care professionals based in maternity units in the South West of England, UK. The package was designed to be used locally and to improve outcomes for mothers and their babies.
