The aim of the PROMPT Care of the Critically Ill Pregnant or Postnatal Woman (CiPP) Course is to cover some components of the core curriculum for maternal critical care – this course is not intended to be exhaustive but to be used as a framework on which individual maternity units can build. The Undergraduate PROMPT training package is currently being finalised. It is a training package for student midwives and medical students. It introduces team-based training, in skills stations, practicals and simulation scenarios. As with all PROMPT packages, the focus is on team-working and human factors, as well as clinical skills and knowledge. Read more
The Pre-hospital PROMPT training package provides hands-on simulation training for paramedic and ambulance staff who new required to provide emergency maternity care in the pre-hospital setting. However the themes covered in the package could easily be adapted for use by other allied health care professionals providing pre-hospital care in Emergency Departments, community and midwife led birth centres.
